How is it possible that Monday is almost here?! I can’t believe how fast the weekends go by! Do you ever experience the Sunday night blues? I always feel a little depressed on Sunday nights because I’m not ready for the weekend to be over. I remember feeling the same way as a kid, too.
For those of you that didn’t already know, I’m a vegetarian. Even before I was a vegetarian I only ate meat once or twice per week. It honestly just grosses me out, especially if I am the one cooking it. I’ve been meat-free for over a year now, and I decided recently that I was going to introduce meat back into my diet. Spoiler alert: it did not end well!
My husband and I went to the Indians game last Friday night, and afterwards we went out to dinner in downtown Cleveland. The restaurant we went to had a crispy chicken sandwich on the menu, so I decided to go for it. One of the things I’ve missed the most while being a vegetarian is buffalo chicken dip, so I thought that if I added some hot sauce to my sandwich I could satisfy that craving.
Our food arrived, and about half way through my sandwich I bit into something super hard. I quickly spit it out into my napkin and realized it was a bone! A freaking BONE!!! I felt so sick and was immediately reminded why I was a vegetarian in the first place.
So, yeah. I’m back to not eating meat again.
On a more positive (and less disgusting) note, we FINALLY finished painting our kitchen! It took longer than I care to admit, but, it’s finally done. I also finished a DIY project that I had been planning for a while. I got the idea for a time zone clock wall on Pinterest, but I wanted to personalize it. I decided to do my own clock wall, but instead of picking random cities in different time zones, I chose places that are special to me and my husband.
I chose London (my favorite city in the world and also the place my husband asked me to marry him), Santorini (where we spent my 31st birthday) and Bora Bora (where we honeymooned).
I printed and framed pictures from our visit to each place, and then I bought the clocks and decals. I got the decals from cestlaviedesignss on Etsy. The shop didn’t have exactly what I was looking for, but the shop owner worked with me and I was able to get exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend cestlaviedesigns!
I am so happy with how my DIY project turned out! Have you had success with any Pinterest projects or other crafts?
